The creation of Treasured Legacy Films was inspired by the fading details of stories verbally passed down from previous generations.  In today's world there is no excuse for these precious anecdotes not to be preserved.  There is a global and personal thirst to capture these stories and experiences, but no prescribed road map on how to go about it. Treasured Legacy Films provides the necessary guidance and technology to ensure that memories are accurately recorded and preserved for future generations.  It is Treasured Legacy Film's belief that everyone has many stories to tell.  Through our unique program we offer people the opportunity to define the stories they want to tell and then create a comfortable low stress environment for those stories to be told.

TLF is available to do onsite interviews, in your home or any other special location you choose.  We require a room with adequate lighting and enough room for us to set-up our own professional equipment.  We will discuss the ideal location in our initial meeting with you.  We do have remote filming capabilities as well.  We occasionally schedule time at specific locations, where we are able to share the set up and take down costs between multiple customers.

From start to finish most basic packages require 6-8 weeks.  This time includes the initial meeting where we discuss the best filming location, the topics you will be talking about and the actual filming date.  For the basic package on the filming day we are on site for 2-3 hours, setting up equipment, doing the interview and then taking down the equipment.  We then start editing the footage, scanning still photos, add titling, add music and other elements to make the DVD the best it can be.  Then we produce the DVDs and packaging.

What sets Treasured Legacy Films apart from other similar services is our unique approach to each project.  While we offer maximum flexibility in the types of services we provide, we also have a very well defined program that explains the time, effort and cost associated with creating our standard Treasured Legacy Film.  We have a Treasured Legacy Films "Interview Preparation Guide" that walks you through the entire program.  We take the guess work out of how to best preserve some of your important memories.  This leads to a professional end product with minimal work and maximum enjoyment.

There is no right or wrong answer to this question.  We do provide hundreds of suggestions that often trigger a very specific memory that you could speak about.  Some examples are first car, first job, first love, best birthday present, best prank, most scared, happiest day.  In our initial meeting we discuss your preferred tone for the film and what makes the best subjects to talk about.

We are flexible in the types and sizes of projects that we work on.  We utilize a fair hourly rate to estimate the final total cost of the project.  We keep customers informed of the progress of their projects and always let them make the ultimate decision with regards to the scope of the project.  We do have a standard or basic package that comes with a guaranteed final cost.

One of Treasured Legacy Films guiding principles is the preservation of personal history.  If someone is so inclined to take on the project of capturing those important memories of loved ones then we encourage it 100%.  Treasured Legacy Films provides what is in our minds an extremely fair value service.  For someone to rent all the equipment that we utilize, transport it to a location, set it up properly, take it down properly, purchase the computers and or software that we utilize, learn how to use that software,  and finally put all of those pieces together to produce a DVD, could take well over a hundred hours and cost thousands of dollars.
